Online & Mobile Banking

How do I access my Marine Credit Card account online and pay my bill?

Accessing your Marine Credit Card account is done through the Elan website. Login to view your balance, account information, and pay your bill.

What are mobile/digital banking password requirements?

Online Banking password must incorporate the following characteristics:

  1. Contain 10-20 characters
  2. Include at least one lowercase letter, at least one uppercase letter, at least one special character, and at least one number.
  3. Each new password must NOT be the same as the previous 10 passwords.

How do I reorder checks?

  1. Log into Online Banking or the Mobile App
  2. Select the Account Services tab  (On the app, first choose More)
  3. Go to Check Services
  4. Select the checking account
  5. Click Order Checks
  6. Select your check style
    – Choosing a personalized style may incur an additional charge
    – Any additional products (check registers, checkbook covers, etc) or expedited shipping options are an additional charge
  7. Complete your order

How do I reset my Online Banking password if I forgot it?

If you forgot your Online Banking password you can reset it online here. Please note that you must have access to the e-mail that was used when setting up your Online Banking account. If you do not have access to the e-mail account, please contact a local Member Service Representative for assistance.

How do I sign-up for Online Banking as a first-time user?

You can sign-up to begin accessing your accounts online quickly and easily. Simply visit our Online Banking page and follow the instructions for sign-up.

Please note that in order to sign-up for Online Banking you must have an e-mail address on file with Marine. If you did not provide one at account opening or are not sure if an e-mail address is on file, please contact a local Member Service Representative.

How do I access Phone Banking as a first time user?

To access the new Audio Banking system as a first-time user you will need your Marine Credit Union account number (minus any proceeding zeros) and your social security number. Call 800.444.5717 and enter your account number and follow the prompts.
As part of the set up, you will be instructed to create a PIN. The PIN must follow these guidelines:

  1. Be between 6-12 numbers
  2. Cannot begin with a zero
  3. Cannot repeat the same digit more than 3 times

How do I change my address, phone number or email address?

There are variety of ways to change your contact information.

Online  or Mobile Banking

  1. Log into Online Banking or the mobile app.
  2. Select Tools and then Settings (On the app, first choose More)
  3. Select Contact
    1. Select the  information you want to change
    2. Enter the information that needs updated
    3. Click Save

By Phone
Just give us a call at 800-923-7280 and we can assist you.

By Mail
You can also mail a request to update your address.

How do direct deposits and electronic payments work?

Direct deposits and electronic payments allow for convenient access to your funds and faster payments. Please ensure you include both the routing number and full MICR number when providing your account information to employers and merchants to avoid processing delays. Please note that each checking, savings, and loan has a unique MICR number, and your MICR number should be used for electronic transactions.

You can locate the routing number and full MICR number under Direct Deposit Information within Online Banking under Accounts.

  1. Log into Online Banking or the mobile app.
  2. Under Accounts select Direct Deposit Information  (On the app, first choose More)

Setup Direct Deposit

The Setup Your Direct Deposit widget is a tool that simplifies process of switching your direct deposit to Marine Credit Union, helping you complete the switch with ease and without the need of providing account numbers.

  1. Log into Online Banking or the mobile app.
  2. Under Transfer & Pay select Setup Your Direct Deposit (On the app, first choose More).

Mobile App

How do I move from screen to screen in the new Mobile App?

Navigation throughout the new Marine Mobile App is now easier than ever! To move from screen to screen, simply select your desired menu from list at the bottom of the screen.  If you don’t see the feature you’re looking for, tap More in the bottom right corner.

How do I wire money to my Marine Credit Union account?

To wire funds to Marine Credit Union from another financial institution, provide the following information:

Please note there is a $10.00 service charge on incoming and $20.00 service charge on outgoing wire transfers that will be applied to your Marine account at the time of the wire.

Debit Card

How do I reset my debit card PIN number?

Changing your debit card PIN can be done at any time by calling 1.833.681.3437 from the number associated with your account. Simply have your card number and current debit card PIN ready. You may also stop into a local branch, or one of our Smart ATMs, to update your debit card PIN.

How do I order a new debit card?

Mobile Banking
This option can only be used if you currently have a debit card.

  1. Log into your mobile app
  2. Select Card Management from your menu
  3. Select Card Replacement

Online Banking
This option can only be used if you currently have a debit card.

  1. Log into Online Banking
  2. Select Account Services
  3. Select Card Management
  4. Select your card
  5. Select Replacement options

Visit a Branch
We are able to create a new debit card for you at any of our full service branches.

Fraud/Security

What do I do if I think I have fraud on my account?

Consumer Loans

What do I need to qualify for a car purchase?  What programs are available?

We have flexible options with credit score, income, and creative ways to help with your down payment.  Our lending team will assist in finding you the best loan fit.

How will I receive my title for my car loan with MCU?

Title/lien releases are processed within 30 days after the loan is paid in full. If Marine Credit Union holds your title, it will be mailed to the address listed on your account. If you hold the title, MCU will mail the lien release to the address listed on your account. If another financial institution or a dealership paid off the loan and have requested the title/lien release it will be mailed directly to them.

Do you finance boats, ATVs, or motorcycles?

Of course! Our online application process takes 3 minutes to complete, click the Get Started button to begin.

Do you finance personal loans?

Sure do! Our online application process takes 3 minutes to complete, click the Get Started button to begin.

Do you consolidate student loans?

Marine Credit Union does not offer this loan product.

Are there any penalties for paying off my consumer loan early?

No. There is no penalty for paying your loan off early. Please call our staff and we can provide final payment details at 1-800-923-7280, Monday-Friday 7am-5pm and Saturday 8am-1pm.

Mortgage Loans

What do I need to qualify for a home purchase?  What programs are available?

We have flexible options with credit score, income, and creative ways to help with your down payment. Marine Credit Union supports conventional, USDA, FHA, VA, WHEDA and ITIN loans. Our lending team will assist in finding you the best loan fit.

Can I apply for a mortgage loan online?

You can begin the application process online, and it only takes about 3 minutes to complete. Click the Get Started button to begin.

What is mortgage escrow?

A mortgage escrow account is a savings account that your loan servicer will place a portion of your loan payment into each month to pay property taxes and insurance premiums.

How is my mortgage loan payment calculated?

A mortgage payment is calculated using four components.

  1. Home purchase price
  2. Down payment
  3. Monthly Homeowner Association (HOA) dues
  4. Mortgage escrow (annual property tax and home insurance costs)

Do I have to have an appraisal to refinance my mortgage?

We typically do recommend re-evaluating your home to get an updated snapshot of how much equity you’ve built up with all your hard work, but we do have other methods to evaluate what your home is worth.

Do you finance home equity line of credit (HELOC)?

Yes, we do! Click on the Get Started button to begin the loan application process. It only takes 3 minutes to complete.

Insurance

How do I file a GAP insurance claim?

If you worked with an MCU Loan Officer and your loan is through MCU, be sure to initiate an insurance claim. If your insurance carrier requires any documents from MCU to process your insurance claim (For example, a Letter of Guarantee), they can submit their written request via fax to 1-608-784-5220 or via email to Loan.ServicingShared@MarineCU.com. MCU will take care of processing your GAP insurance paperwork at that time.

If you worked with the dealership for your loan and opted for GAP insurance, reference paperwork provided to you. If you do not have access to that paperwork, contact the dealership you completed your loan through for assistance.

What is CPI?

CPI or Collateral Protection Insurance is insurance purchased by the loan servicer to protect the automobile when the customer’s auto insurance has not been provided to MCU or has lapsed . CPI only covers the vehicle and does not include liability or personal injury coverage. This insurance will increase the loan payment amount.

How do I remove CPI from my loan?

Upload proof of insurance at myinsuranceinfo.com. Our insurance team will remove the CPI coverage from the loan once the documents are received.

What is Debt Protection?

Sometimes called payment protection, debt protection cancels your monthly payments in certain pre-determined circumstances such as death, injury, or job loss to protect you from defaulting on your loan.
