We have reports of members receiving fraud calls spoofing MCU and asking for the last eight digits of their debit card. MCU will never call you and ask for card numbers or fraud alert codes. If you receive a call immediately disconnect and contact MCU directly at 800.923.7280, via secure message, or visit a branch.
If you think you might need to access your funds before the end of your certificate term, a savings account or money market could be a better fit. While share certificates offer higher returns, they’re best for funds you feel comfortable setting aside untouched until maturity.
